    Description:

Tauros got a major boon this generation. Even though nothing was added to its movepool, its what was added to the game as a whole that gave it new life. Faeries. Sheer Force Iron Head / Iron Tail Tauros is just the Pokemon to deal with the Faeries running around, massacring the lot of them. It also has a very usable movepool. Sadly there are some things wrong with Tauros, it has a fantastic Special movepool, with no Special Attack, which is a shame considering a Work Up set would have been very viable if its Special Attack was just a bit higher. However, Tauros's natural bulk and great Attack and Speed won't let you down.

Set #1: Sheer Force Life Orb

    Tauros @ Life Orb
    Ability: Sheer Force
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Rock Climb
    - Iron Head / Iron Tail
    - Earthquake
    - Rock Slide / Wild Charge / Facade / Zen Headbutt

    Set Description:

Sheer Force Life Orb. The power itself is fantastic and absolutely destroys most things. Rock Climb is your designated STAB and does more damage than Return. Iron Head is your main weapon to dispose of the Faeries, but you could also run Iron Tail if you want way more power. Earthquake allows you to dispatch all those annoying Steel types that would come to ruin your day. The last slot is completely dependent on the type of coverage you need. Rock Slide forms the famous Edgequake combo thanks to Sheer Force's boost, and allows you to nail some of NU's most annoying Pokemon such as Moltres. Wild Charge also allows you to nail pesky Water types. You could run Facade for if you get status'd thanks to its 140 boost + further STAB boost. Then finally you could run Zen Headbutt to deal with Fighting types if they're that much of a problem for you.

    Other Options:

A Work Up set could be used if you really want to abuse Tauros's Special movepool. Why abuse it? Sheer Force, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Surf, all great coverage options. You can also boost your Attack stat with that. It's very risky but the pay-off CAN be worth it.
