    Description:

Rotom (Normal) is a forgotten gem that has descended into the depths of NU. It has some nifty options, a fantastic typing and a usable movepool. Unfortunately however its mediocre stats let it down. However if you play Rotom (Normal) to his strengths, your opponent is gonna forfeit more often than not.

    Set #1: Choice Scarf

    Rotom @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Volt Switch
    - Shadow Ball
    - Thunderbolt / Will-O-Wisp / Thunder Wave
    - Trick

    Set Description:

Rotom's classic Scarfturn set makes its return in Generation Six but this time in the depths of NU. Use STAB Volt Switch to get the hell outta there and scout your opponent's team. Shadow Ball is a great STAB move. The third slot depends on the coverage / role you need Rotom to play on your team. Thunderbolt allows you to have a good STAB move that won't switch you out. Will-O-Wisp will nail Physical Pokemon and Thunder Wave will cripple anything that tries to get you. The final slot goes to Trick, which will cripple anything that doesn't need a Choice Scarf.

    Set #2: Utility

    Rotom @ Leftovers
    Ability: Levitate
    EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Pain Split
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Confuse Ray
    - Thunder Wave / Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball

    Set Description:

An incredibly annoying set. Pain Split will be the bane of your opponent's existence as Rotom will continuously restore its own HP and lower the opponent's using it. Will-O-Wisp nails Physical attackers. Confuse Ray is a general nuisance and the last slot is completely dependent on preference once again. Thunder Wave to cripple or Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball for dedicated STAB.

    Other Options:

Rotom also has access to dual screens, and due to his unique defensive typing and being immune to three types, it can set them up quite well. He also gets access to Dark Pulse as an attacking move but it doesn't have much use here.
