Monotype is a tier that forces a Trainer to have Pokemon that all share a common type(a grass Monotype means that all of your Pokemon have grass typing). When using Monotype teams you are going to have a distinct weakness. Above was one example of a Monotype team. That team is going to be weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, Bug, and Poison. It is best to make a team that has Pokemon with movesets to be able to cover those weaknesses. The Pokemon Leafeon is a Grass type which means it is weak to Fire type moves, but it can learn the move Dig which is supereffective against Fire type Pokemon and Poison types. This shows that you can counter your weaknesses. Building your team to be able to do this is crucial because if you have a bad match-up then you might get swept by one Pokemon. Boy, would that suck! Anyway, hope this post helped. Go out there and Monotype it up!
