Gym Leader Applications

This is the thread in which you will apply for your gym leader position. (Please note this is not the thread for Elite Four applications, those will be decided later on).

Before you apply, let me go over a few rules about being a Gym Leader:

#1: You must have at least 15 posts on the forum before you can apply. (This is to make sure you don't apply and then disappear, believe me it happens) So just go post on some forum game topics or something similar if you don't have the posts.

#2: You cannot apply to a position that's already taken (meaning if someone has taken the Poison type gym, you can't take that gym.)

#3: With your application you must provide the following information:

1. What type you're applying for
2. The team you're going to use (just the Pokemon, not the specific sets)
3. If you're going to be active enough for the role of gym leader.

#4: Gym leaders must have four of their six Pokemon have their type. Meaning if you have a Fairy type gym, four out of your six Pokemon must be Fairy type.

#5: The following Pokemon cannot be used on your gym team: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Suicune, Raikou, Entei, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Latios, Latias, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie, Dialga, Palkia, Giritina, Cresselia, Darkrai, Manaphy, Phione, Heatran, Regigigas, Shaymin, Shaymin-S, Arceus, Victini, Cobalion, Virizion, Terrakion, Keldeo, Tornadus, Tornadus-T, Landorus, Landorus-T, Thundurus, Thundurus-T, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Kyurem-B, Kyurem-W, Meleotta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion.

That's all. Here's a reference as to what types are taken:

Later on, each Gym Leader will have their own thread in which people can make challenges. The results of said battle will be posted in the thread, and if a person wins said battle, he will be awarded a badge. Once someone has the badges of all the types, they can then challenge the Elite Four. Once a person successfully manages to challenge the Elite Four and beat them, they will have the opportunity to battle the Champion. If a person beats the Champion, then they have the option of either becoming the new Champion taking the old one's place, or just accepting the prizes / badges that go along with the victory. (Such as Forum Trophies)

We're going to use Pokemon Online for the league.

EDIT: I would like to apply to the poison-type position, although I only have a preliminary team just yet since I havent dabbled in specific type-teams yet.
My team is as following:
- Crobat
- Muk
- Nidoqueen
- Gengar
- Drapion
- Dragalge

And yes, if we get this going I will be active enough.

Also I dont have a clue about rules about these sort of battles since I only play Pokemon casually, so it'd be nice to get a slight update in that matter.

EDIT2: The team is no longer preliminary, I have done my research on them and set the team up for battle.

Well otherwise I dont really see it as an actual poison-type gym team. They can still pack a punch and if the challenger doesn't build an entire anti-team it's gonna be a fun match

Well see that's why the rules for the Gym are 4 / 6 of the Pokemon must be of the type. Sure you can have all 6 be the type, but someone could just adapt an entire team around your team.

I'd also like to add that I am in soccer so some weekends I may have a game and won't be on that day as long. And if I have a game on Wednesday I won't be on at all that day.

People really aren't understanding the rules here. Honestly, you're just neutering your team's overall potential by making it monotype when the rules clearly state that only 4/6 of your pokemon need to be of the type you've chosen. Monotype teams are easily mowed through by standard teams in most situations, please consider altering your teams to cover and deal with their weaknesses rather than magnify them. Oh, and have fun

The only misunderstanding of the rules was having to hav fifteen posts to be a Gym Leader. I didn't have fifteen posts, but now I do. This is my fifteenth post actually. lol

Thomas, I won't let my team have a non-poison Pokémon because I feel it's not a gym in that case, like I said. It's up to everyone to decide on this and I hope you start respecting those decisions

I would like to apply for the Grass Gym Leader position. My team would be as follows:
- Venusaur (mega)
- Tangela
- Ludicolo
- Roserade
- Ferrothorn
- Cacturne

Even though I just showed up and I have the bare-minimum of posts required to become a Gym Leader, I'm very excited to be trying out for the position. So yes, I will be active.

Hi there. I'd love to become the Broken Glitch League Dragon-Type Gym leader. My team will be Dragonite, Flygon, Haxorus, Goodra, Tentacruel, and Steelix.

And honestly, I think that Legendary Pokemon should not be allowed. We're Gym Leaders, not master catchers. And besides, catching Legendary Pokemon and using them in a Gym just feels... wrong.
